Leaders: Various Class Members and Guest Leaders

Led by a rotation of classroom members and guest teachers, this adult class engages matters of faith and life in a lively manner through teaching and interactive discussion. The leaders teaching choose the book or texts from which they teach and lead discussions. Class members enjoy fellowship and growing friendships with one another. They meet in the Session Room, Room no. 2, downstairs in Myers Hall.

During our studies for the month of August, the class is being led by Don Jackson.  He will be asking the question, "Why are yo here [to church]?", presenting backgroung and encouraging interactive discussion.  (By-the-way, why do you come to church?)

Please join class members and friends after the 11:00a.m. worship service for lunch and fellowship.  Click here for the schedule of restaurants.

Fellowship Sunday School Class - Sunday 9:30am to 10:30am, Parlor (across the hall from the church office)

Teacher: Wendell Broadwell

The Fellowship Sunday School class is a genial group of newer members and some folks who have been around for many years at Conyers Presbyterian Church.  The class format is spontaneous discussion of what the class is studying and anything else that the members want to talk about. Wendell is a teacher by trade; he is a professor of Political Science at Georgia Perimeter College.

The class has just started a study of William Barclay's Introducing the Bible. Barclay (1907-1978) was a famous Scottish Presbyterian theologian and his books about the Bible continue to be immensely popular. In this book, Barclay explains how the Old and New Testaments came into being and gained acceptance as Scripture. Most important, he presents the Bible as a book to be read and enjoyed today. The class will be studying this book, chapter by chapter for the rest of this year. Anyone interested is welcome to join.
