Pastor Emeritus

Rev. Dr. Al Myers served as Senior Pastor of Conyers Presbyterian Church for over 30 years. He is now our Pastor Emeritus and assists in church functions when asked.

Al continues to remain active in the life of the church as an active participant and contributes regularly in the Men’s Bible study on Thursday mornings.

Iglesia Horeb - Hispanic Pastor

Rev. Benjamin Reyes, although recently retired, continues to lead the Iglesia Horeb Fellowship which he has for over 20 years. He and his wife Naomi have sustained this Fellowship through spartan times and times of plenty. His dedication to his congregation in his service of Christ continues to be an inspiration to his Fellowship and the congregation of CPC.

Office Manager

Alise Parker has been on staff as CPC Office Manager since May 2017. She works closely with Pastor Kevin. She is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the church and assists the other staff members as requested. Alise serves as the 'face' of our church administration, ensuring everyone who walks through our doors feels at home. With over 15 years of experience in organizational management, she handle everything from the church calendar to supporting our various ministries. For Alise, this role is more than a job—it's a way to 'fan the flames' of the gifts God has given her to serve the body of Christ. Outside the office, Alise can be found spending time with her family or serving as the Tiny Town Children's Director at her home church in Covington, GA.

Alise and her husband Craig reside in Covington, GA, with their three boys Michael, Cayden, Ethan, and daughter Lucy.

Music Director

Charles Haraway has been a choral director, conductor, and performer for the past 30 years.  Mr. Haraway is currently in high demand as a vocal coach and choral clinician since he moved to the Atlanta area in June, 2023.

Mr. Haraway grew up in Memphis, Tennessee, the home of The Blues, Rock & Roll, and early Country music.  Charles grew up in this rich environment playing music with his family and playing onstage in various bands, musical theater, and choral music.

Charles completed his bachelor's degree in music education in 1994 at the University of Mississippi, his master's degree in music education at the University of Southern Mississippi, and became a full-time high school choral/musical theater teacher in Mississippi and Tennessee for the next 10 years.

In 2002, Mr. Haraway moved to South Carolina for graduate work in conducting, history, and orchestration at the University of South Carolina where he became Chorusmaster for the USC Opera, Director of the Madrigal Ensemble, and a lecturer of music history and musical appreciation.  In 2003 Charles accepted the position of Director of Music at Trinity United Methodist Church where he directed ensembles, orchestras, and the contemporary praise band for the next 20 years.

During his career, Charles Haraway’s ensembles performed at the Washington National Cathedral, the Peabody Hotel, in Memphis, TN, the Germantown Performing Arts Center, a 10-year concert series at the Piccolo Spoleto festival in Charleston, SC, and has released 2 albums with his band, Salt Creek as lead singer and guitar player.

Mr. Haraway is currently the Director of Music at Conyers Presbyterian Church and believes that anyone can become a musician with proper fundamentals and good old fashioned hard work.  Mr. Haraway strives to make rehearsals/lessons fun and engaging to encourage practice and achievement.

Andrew Davidson

Andrew Davidson Bio:
We are pleased to welcome Andrew Davidson as our new accompanist. Andrew brings over twenty years of experience as a versatile piano accompanist, performing in settings ranging from jazz choirs and opera ensembles to church services and faculty recitals. He has taught piano, voice, theory, and composition in both private and collegiate settings, and currently serves as an instructor with multiple music organizations in the Atlanta area. Andrew holds a Master of Music in Piano Performance from Valdosta State University and a Bachelor of Arts in Music from Florida State University. We are grateful for his gifts and his presence among us in worship.
